Air Canada has announced that the following Maple Leaf lounges will no longer participate in the Priority Pass program as of Dec 31, 2004: Calgary International , Edmonton International ,Halifax International, Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau x2, Ottawa International, Toronto Lester B. Pearson International x3, Vancouver International x3 and , Winnipeg International.

Northwest Airlines WorldPerks program has announced increased redemption requirements in 2005 for reward travel to South America as well as increased many of the restricted business class rewards. Scandinavian's Euro Bonus program has announced some new changes that came into to effect on Oct 31. Gold members earn 25% more Basic points and Silver members earn 15% more in all classes on SAS, SAS Braathens, Blue1, Widerøe, airBaltic and on Estonian Airways. The nice thing here, is the "all classes" part, so an elite member with SAS can earn bonus points on any fare. They have also lowered the bonus flights from and to the US from 70 000 to 60 000 points in Economy and from 110 000 to 90 000 in Business. Finally they will be awarding 500 bonus miles for tickets

Alaska Airlines has decided to take on America West by launching direct Vancouver to San Diego service on February 13. In addition Alaska will be boosting its service from Vancouver to Las Vegas and Palm Springs

JetsGo announced a major expansion in Western Canada with flights from Edmonton to Victoria, Abbotsford and Saskatoon beginning Jan. 10.,
